How do you start up an MMA promotion company? I hear all you need is $1000 and a fingerprint live scan. Could someone provide any details or advice on who to talk to?

The California State Athletic commission regulates MMA. Contact them and request an application to become a promoter. They will send you a packet with all of the requirements.

Yes, there are companies you can pay money to that will provide you with the same information packet and application, but why pay for what you can get from the commission yourself?
