well seems to me if you were eight when that took place and haven’t had any more problems resulting from that incident ,
I wouldn’t think that it would keep you from it ,
However your DR.only knows best then we do!

If they advise you not to or think it would be rather risky, for whatever reason please listen to them!!

Marital Art’s is not worth risking your life for!

Hope you get a good physical!

No sanctioning body would clear you to fight in any type of competition with a majoy head injury unless you could prove without a doubt that repeated blows to the head would not exacerbate the condition.

You are not going to be allowed to fight unless you are training. I am curious about what your teacher has to say.

Anyway, you say you had a full recovery from the blood clot when you were a child. But, there is always scar tissue left behind.

Someone out there would let you fight, no doubt about it. But, you need to really consider your own health. Maybe start with an MRI with your neurologist. A doctor is probably never going to recommend that you fight, box, or take any trauma to the head. But, for your own sake it is better to know what your status currently is.

There are boxers taking matches every year with know injuries. But, take a look and listen to these guys around age 40 or even before. Some cannot speak at all, some die, and some don’t know what planet they are on. In the end a man has to make his own decisions, but you need more information. None of us can tell you if you can fight or not.

There have been many fighters who have had serious injuries that healed properly then they went on without any problem. Ken Shamrock is one who had a very serious injury to his neck and back when he was just a teen. He is in the MMA Hall of Fame. So, listen to your doctors, your teachers, and the people who love you to decide if its worth taking the chance.
