Mixed martial arts is basically the interbred technique of fighting like ninjutsu, karate and tai kwon do.These three can be used to make a unique and more effective style.

It is exactly what it says mixed martial arts. It combines boxing, kickboxing, muy thai, wresting, tae kwon do, judo, jiu-jitzu, grappling, and just about anything else you can think of.

Rules on to what is legal and it was vary by organization you fight in. Most organizations don’t allow strikes to the groin, to the back of the head, and kicking a downed opponent ( at least one knee on the ground).

If you want to learn more about it watch the UFC on ppv, Tapout on Vs, WEC WRECKAGE on Vs, HDNET fights on HDNET, and The Ultimate Fighter is coming back April 2 on Spiketv. You can also try to find stuff on youtube although that may be harder as you probably dont know fighters names.

Its a hybrid of two or more martial arts. Mainly people choose to incorporate a grappling and a striking style like boxing and judo. MMA is also a sport where rules include, striking on the floor and whilst standing, and grappling involving submission fighting via chokes, locks or just giving up. The gloves that are worn are different to boxing gloves by being fingerless allowing for grabbing, and are smaller in size.

It’s basically similar to free style and uses both submission and striking techniques inherited from other martial arts. The most popular ones that are mixed in it is Jujitsu and Boxing.
