I was watching a ufc fight a while ago, a 3, 5 minute round fight. one of the fighters when he weighed in apparently said he didn’t care if he won, he just wanted to get fight of the night. does anyone know the names of the two fighters? or where i can find a video of that fight?
it ended with a tko in the 3rd i believe, that or it went to the judges

Common

I’m not sure of who in particular you are talking about, but there have been a lot of guys who have said stuff along those lines. One that comes to mind immediately is Pete Sell – he always said he just wants to put on a good show for the fans.

Fighters that are always aggressive and want to go for Fight or Knockout of the Night include Wanderlei Silva, Pete Sell, Keith Jardine, Jorge Gurgel, Houston Alexander, Jeremy Stephens, and Patrick Cote, for example.

Fighters that always try to go for Submission of the Night include Demian Maia, Dustin Hazelett, Rousimar Palhares, and CB Dalloway, to name a few.

It would be pretty hard to know exactly which fighters you are talking about without knowing what show it was at or how the fight turned out.
