Where can I find statistics on how mixed martial arts has increased in the U. S. since it began?

I need to find out the statistics on how mixed martial arts (ultimate) fighting has increased since it began in the United States and where it is projected to be in the future. For example how many fighters and spectators where and are now involved in the sport.

Do you want MMA stats or UFC (ultimate fighting) stats?

To my knowledge there are no stats available to the public,as far as MMA growth, but you can have an idea of how UFC has grown based on their PPV sales.
