There is too much talent out there for it to be ignored. And now with the whole Kimbo disaster, they will be looking to put a new card up that excites people. This is what Dana has said about female mma in the Baltimore Sun: "I'm not a huge fan of women fighting. Period. Not to say that I don't acknowledge that there are amazing female athletes out there in every sport. I just think right now we had a hard enough time getting over the stigma of the men." Elite XC is surviving because Showtime is helping them pay off their debt. Not that Gina doesn't help sell Elite XC but its really Kimbo that sells their product. If you go back to the Elite XC event in July 26th even with Gina on the fight card, it didn't do that well. But their first event with Kimbo did great. It's more like Gina Carano has a big following. They'd probably only consider it if they could find a girl as hot as her. Even then, I doubt they'll open a female division.
